When it comes to being stressed these days, who isn’t?!
We continue adapting to the daily pressures of life in the 21 century but we never seem to have enough time to slow down and relax each day.
A lifestyle of constant rushing or worrying is triggering the production of Cortisol aka, the “Silent Killer”. This ‘active’ ingredient sits at the top of the list of factors leading to disease.
Wikipedia says Cortisol (hydrocortisone) is a steroid hormone, or glucocorticoid, produced by the adrenal gland. It is released in response to stress and a low level of blood glucocorticoids.
The adrenals are in charge of many functions and among them are the “Fight or Flight” chemical hormones. These body-produced chemicals can be hazardous to our health when constantly triggered from stress.
